Scott County offices will be closed for New Year's Day on January 1st and 2nd.
Garbage Collection schedule: There will be no collection on New Year's Day (Thursday). Thursday's route will run on Friday and Friday's route will run on Saturday.
Scott County offices will be closed on the following holidays:
- Christmas (December 25-26, 2025)
- New Year's (January 1-2, 2026)
Garbage Collection schedule information: There will be no collection on Christmas Day (12/25) or New Year's Day (1/1/26). On those weeks, Thursday's route will run on Friday and Friday's route will run on Saturday.
Coal Bluff Road is closed approximately 500ft. North of River Bend Road due to safety improvements being made. Access to Coal Bluff Road will be via Alec Crapps Road during this time. We anticipate the work to be completed in approximately 60 days.
By order of the Board on December 1, 2025, the ordinances which were adopted on November 21, 2025 have been repealed and are not in effect for the unincorporated areas of Scott County.
As the ordinances are repealed and not under any further consideration at this time, there will be no further public hearing related to the ordinances at this time.
Scott County offices will be closed on the following holidays:
- Veterans Day (November 11, 2025)
- Thanksgiving (November 27-28, 2025)
- Christmas (December 25-26, 2025)
- New Year's (January 1-2, 2026)
Note: Residential garbage collection will run as normal on Veterans Day. There will be no collection on Thanksgiving Day (11/27), Christmas Day (12/25) or New Year's Day (1/1/26). On those weeks, Thursday's route will run on Friday and Friday's route will run on Saturday.
Expect intermittent delays and interruptions on Airport Rd over the next few days as road crews work on necessary culvert repairs.
Scott County offices will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025 for Labor Day. Residential garbage collection routes will NOT be affected by the holiday and will run according to their usual schedule 9/1/25 - 9/5/25.
- The Scott County Courthouse will be closed, Friday July 4, 2025 for Independence Day.
- We have also been informed that residential garbage collection will run its normal routes that day.
- There will be a minor change in the collection schedule beginning July 14, 2025. Household garbage collection activity may begin as early as 6:00am due to hot weather conditions and to promote a more efficient collection schedule.

Scott County offices will be closed Monday (5/26/25) for Memorial Day. Residential garbage collection routes will be delayed by one day that week, concluding with Friday's route being collected on Saturday.
Scott County offices will be closed Monday, February 17, 2025 for Washington’s Birthday (Presidents’ Day). Residential garbage collection routes should run as regularly scheduled.
Scott County EMA will be performing damage assessments in parts of the county affected by this weekend's storms.
If you had damage to structures, please call 601-469-1511 and let whoever answers the call know that you have storm damage to report. We ask that you please provide your name, address, and description of the damage.
